Zero Tally

Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 31, 2026

Zero Tally is designed to be private by default. This policy explains exactly what happens to your data.

What we collect

Nothing. Zero Tally does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal or financial information. There is no account to create and no sign-in.

Where your data lives

All data you enter — expenses, categories, notes, and recurring rules — is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device database. If you are signed into iCloud, your data is synced privately through your own iCloud account (Apple's CloudKit) so it stays available across your devices.

This data is never sent to servers operated by Zero Tally or its developer — there are no such servers. We have no ability to access your data.

Analytics and tracking

Zero Tally contains no third-party analytics, advertising, tracking SDKs, or crash-reporting services. The app makes no network requests other than Apple's iCloud sync on your behalf.

Apple iCloud

iCloud sync is handled entirely by Apple under your iCloud account. Apple's handling of that data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Children's privacy

Zero Tally does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a new "Last updated" date.
